New battery powered Husqvarna T536 LiXP

Any one know if the oiler can be adjusted on the t536? It doesn't seem to be pumping much oil, and I do have the 14" bar on. It is pumping some (now that I cleaned the bar out) but not as much as I'd have on any of my other saws.

Nope, I don't think so.
There are two things (actually three) to take into account.
0. A fourteen inch bar is way to much for what the machine can handle in the long run. No matter what Husqvarna US wants you to believe.
1. Drill out the oil hole of the bar. There's probably some metal that is part of the middle of the bar clogging the oil hole.
2. The oil pick up point is only on one side of the oil tank. Horizontally cutting with the saws engine facing down results in zero oil being able to reach the oil pick up point. There's no weighted down hose in the tank that takes care of the oil pick up as in other saws.

Great information Treespotter. I run 14 inch bars because I'm used to 16 inch on my gas saws and I couldn't see giving up more than 2 inches of reach.

I think I may try weighting the oil pick up tube.

I don't have the saw in front of me right now but I'm curious about this... Is the oil pickup on the sprocket side? Must be at or near the bottom of the reservoir when the saw is upright?

No weighted pickup hose is disappointing for a saw intended for professional use, in tree no less.

Hmm, ok. Not a big deal. I have felt it kind of maxed out it's practical usage for me at doing a handful of 6 or 8 inch cuts in a tree that was otherwise all smaller trim cuts. Maybe I'll try backchaining the occasional bigger cut and keep oil available to pick up hole.

This saw is great for much more than just pruning. I have been going to this saw for most of my small to mid range removals as well. A few weeks ago I did a very tight job. In the picture the first 3 trees came down with one 4.2 battery (everything but felling the 8' spar). they were 55' tall healthy Norway spruce full of limbs. The last tree was a bit taller, at 70' and it took up 3/4 of my second battery. I was absolutely thrilled I didn't have to drag my gas saw through those trees.
So true. I love them for removals. We use them on every job now. The ground folks love the rear handle too, especially when its next to the chipper for those quickie cuts.

Be aware, the plastic on the batteries seem brittle when cold. Just broke a face on a battery last week around 25F.
