Nesting throwline storage

a trip down the rabbit hole from another thread lead me to this clever looking piece of kit

https://shop.freeworker.com/ftc-matriosac-3.html

It's about $110 USD plus shipping. There doesn't seem to be a US distributor

Has anyone used this...or any of the companies products? Their designs are clever

Now I have two Cubes. The main one is one of the prototypes of the original Cubes. It's so well built the only repair that I've had to make was to replace one of the corner stays because I stepped on it and broke it. While I was sewing the sleeve shut I made a couple of passes over the ends of the corner tubes...even though they're still in great shape. The second Cube is a Stein which is in great shape.

This nesting setup would streamline my kit a little but is it worth the money? Durability is key

Maybe there's another nesting kit around???

I like the bottom storage area. And seems like without corners, you don't have to deal with the corners blowing out.

I see it collapses, but I wonder how it will keep the flaked in line from tangling. When you told up a cube it sort of locks the flaked line in place. Just thinking. Also $110 is pretty steep for me.

They have some very inventive concepts for tree gear. I've already "borrowed" one of their ideas for a rigging sling, it provides a larger break strength than a spliced one.

that looks interesting, Do you use it as a dead eye, or an ultra sling? Also just out of curiosity, what do you have attached on the end for the rope to run through? looks like a cross between a block and a ring.

The expensive chunk of aluminum is the Colligo Snatch Block, which I got when it was discounted at West Marine. It came with a 1/4" soft shackle to make it snatchable. It has a much better bend ratio than a ring, but I doubt it will wear as good, with only one surface that the rope will run on.
The sling is doubled and has five seizings clapped on. It will be used as a dead eye because the seizings would slip if used as an ultrasling. The seizings only keep the two parts together. The FTC one uses one seizing and flexible tubular webbing to do this.
