Neck tether hazard

Exactly, I like things snug, adjusted to the right length, no flop and stay that way until I'm ready to change. Ascent, positioning, limb walking and even descent can have different optimum lengths.
I also understand how others just want it one way.

So my HUT becomes suspenders and stowed when I am finished with my ascent simply by sewing a small loop to the front of my harness.

I feel that the original Swing-Chestie is the most elegant solution for the SRWP climber. It is light enough to forget it's on your body, yet robust enough to hold your body in a comfortable position should you become incapacitated (insert your own personal likelihood...). I haven't seen much that compares to its form and function.
My own personal likly hood of incapacitation.. I'd like to think is slim to none.... I'm sure many here think as well, but nothing is impossible. Everything you speak of the beloved swingie is so true. Mine is pulling apart just a bit around the ring where I attach the saka, next to tending point..but its got some good use on it:)

I was talking to Paul about making a version with 2 attachment points...one for the Multiscender, one for the knee ascender. I was thinking it would be nice to have something closer to independant attachments to reduce their influence on eachother. I clip my HAAS to the bottom of the left shoulder strap. That keeps it roughly where it needs to be, and luckily I haven't seen any compromised threads.

I swear I've seen pic of someone? with the twin attachment points!?! I'm a dreamer though , so that couldve been a dream. ;)

I saw that too...who was it? I can't remember...I don't want to have to go looking for the picture buried deep in some thread...oh no, maybe it was somewhere in the 176 pages of the Compact Bulldog Bone thread! Somebody better just admit they have it and post a picture here. I know it's out there.

Hmm... take a look again at the pictures on post #5. That buckle makes a perfect attachment point for the HAAS. It is on the left side and is independent from the adjustable length snap, all in a lightweight non-restrictive and saddle supporting harness. When not in use for tending the multisender, I clip the snap onto the saddles waistband and forgetaboutit.

For me and I only speak for myself. When I used a neck tether bungee and did sit back, I never had this kind of problem or rotation. It could be because on ascent my bridge is only about 3 inches long and it does not permit rotation, also my bungee neck tether was never THAT long to permit me to hang so far down. It was just long enough to tend my device and let my head thru if it snagged on something. Seems this is something that could happen but a little dramatization and staging IMHO.
Currently when it comes to tending, the Secur works perfect as it will adjust one-handedly for whatever multicender I choose to use. If I sit back on it during ascent, it keeps me centered and upright but NOT comfortable, as the straps come together and squeeze my neck. As I am still upright the squeeze is not choking but again, just not comfortable.
Something I try will be getting Paul to send me his chestie and adding the webbing with buckle for one-handed adjustment.
As far as tending my SAKA, it stays low, never above my bridge as it is attached to one hole of the Hydra on my bridge. I personally prefer to keep that bungee exactly centered in my system and low and completely out of the way of EVERYTHING else.

I clip my haas to the v in the straps. It wanders a little toward the left side. But not much with the shoulder strap.

I did finally make a neck tether work for me yesterday. I had to double the bungee before I put it thru the rope sheath. It's a bit short, but worked fairly well.

It will just be a winter thing for me though. The didier is perfect unless I have a bunch of layers to hassle with.
