Something to consider...

Nope, not the same. This is the Petzl Voltige. More info Here:Is that lanyard at all similar to what they now call the petzl secur http://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?category_id=131&item=1107
I have one and it drove me nuts the way it rubbed on my neck.
What is the difference I can't see any. I agree I may have had my secur set at little askew might have to give it a go one day soon. I just really like the simplicity of the HUT.Magnum 783, the Torse is similar to the Secur but not the same. Everyone that I have talked to that has used both liked the Torse better. Chances are that if yours was rubbing on your neck, the rear buckle was probably set too high.

Hi Magnum, the system that you have pictured from TS is designed to be attached to the back of your saddle, I also wear a TM and I use this setup, it works great "for me", but may not for others. I installed a Petzl bridge ring on the upper loop (on the back) of my saddle and then attached the shoulder strap to it. I haven't had any issues or situations where I found myself in a choking position, and I've got full range of motion while using it. I hope this helps you on your decision. Best of luck, and be safe!Is that lanyard at all similar to what they now call the petzl secur http://www.treestuff.com/store/catalog.asp?category_id=131&item=1107

I feel that the original Swing-Chestie is the most elegant solution for the SRWP climber. It is light enough to forget it's on your body, yet robust enough to hold your body in a comfortable position should you become incapacitated (insert your own personal likelihood...). I haven't seen much that compares to its form and function.Three words...swingdude chest harness.![]()
I may have misspoke I was meaning it rubbed on my neck not chocked. I have a buck master deluxe which has a loop on the back so it works ok just rubs on the side of my neck.Hi Magnum, the system that you have pictured from TS is designed to be attached to the back of your saddle, I also wear a TM and I use this setup, it works great "for me", but may not for others. Agree, only thing it lacks is adjustability in length. Help me talk Paul into making a small add-on tether with a one handed buckle and I'm in.I feel that the original Swing-Chestie is the most elegant solution for the SRWP climber.
