Nail biter cat rescue in Switzerland.

Hold on kitty! Cat rescue (CH)

What do you all think about the climber's redirect point? I believe an equalizing rig (V-rig, M-method, whatever you want to call it) would have been a better choice. Lots of force on that redirect, and a lateral vector, especially when he's moving back toward it!

I think the climber did a good job. That was a tough position!

Yep, that was just good climbing. The redirect angle sucked but what else are you gonna do up in the tips like that? I've had them go upside down like that after going too far out a couple of times, I snagged one but the other went flying.

I had a big Silver reduction last week and transplanted a pair of young squirrels. One stayed in the nest and cooperated but the other lil guy kept clambering away.

It ended well with a sibling and momma reunion in the neighbouring cedars with a handful of peanuts and babies very friendly with our flyin dutchman.

please, Watch for those cavity nesters!

I thought that cat was going to lose it when it went upside down. Would the rope wrench/SRT work positioning be out of the question for this rescue?

Yep, true words. You scruff'em behind the neck and they instantly relax. As long as you grip tight, they aren't going anywhere and the tighter you grip, the calmer they become.

I don't know guys, I had one cat, Tater to be exact, that did not calm down when held by the scruff of his neck. He automatically flipped around like a maniac and proceeded to attach his nails into my chin. I'll just say that Tater was safely rescued and I bled from many different parts of my body that day.

The redirect in the video did seem to have quite a bit of horizontal force on it, especially for the size of the limb but I am almost positive that I would use it in the given circumstance. I am also just viewing that limb through Youtube and not in person so who knows. Regardless his climbing was excellent and his composure was top notch as well.
