Hey I have a 3500 gmc with and easy dump insert with a homemade chip box on it. I let my wife take the truck as her car was in the shop She drove about an hour north to go to a friends house. The next morning when I woke up and came outside no chip box on the truck. She insisted it got stolen because she didn’t hear it fall off. I don’t think it could blow off I’ve driven 85+mph with it on and it never even crossed my mind it would come off. What are people’s thoughts blew off on the Highway, stolen, maybe a prank. Should I contact the dot?

Nothing 2x4 slide into 6 holes
In that case, as your wife where the great big bump was that she hit, and you’ll know where they jumped off the truck. They appear to sit only about 4” into the pockets, that’s not too far for them to jump out.

Maybe someone stole them, but I would guess a big bump on the road somewhere did it. One would think she would have noticed the accompanying noise when it took off, but my mother (I don’t have a wife) would have never noticed.
