My TEDx San Antonio talk

" The 'preserved' tree on the pillar in the parking lot is a great example of a preservation effort gone awry.'

Could be; Cary Town Center mall in nc left a much huger relic of a q falcata. it was cracked and rotting but they did not want to hear about it; arborists were totally dissed. The death was very painful to watch, but Davey made a ton of cash feeding and cabling and godknowswhat.

then again we have also in cary a q phellos middleaged on a parking lot pedestal 12-15' high surrounded by timbers and doing quite nicely thankyouverymuch. if the tree is in good condition, a lot more can be done with it than many US eyes find familiar enough to be acceptable.

we'll chat re planting hole depth after the a300 root mgt comes out--this summer?
