I am fine thank you for worrying. The sugoi definatley isn't dull this was done by pulling a branch towards me and it just slipping off and sticking it's self in my arm.

Again hmmm....not the best method of retrieving branches....but was not referring to your silky per say more in general about dull silky saws...and I meant the cut was not bad....lol...

This was a couple weeks ago. Making a few structural cuts in a maple. Twin vertical stems, the "down hill" one had to go. I couldn't get much higher in the tree safely I felt, so I tried (against my better judgement :cachetada:) from where I was, of course the saw got pinched. No way to get it from the high side. Grabbed the stem and leaned around to look at what I had done, and in the mean time had put my hand in the wrong place and inadvertently pushed the saw against my finger on the hand I braced myself with. Took the corner of the nail off.

I bet there's still blood in that canopy. Blood dripping everywhere, said "well I can come down and stop the bleeding then head up and finish and still be miserable, or just finish".. Finish I did, but not before the rest of the tree looked like a murder scene lol

Ha, wait til the doc puts you on a blood thinner for some issue...then every tree you do will look like that. I carry an absorbant wipe in my phone pocket for such events. I am seriously considering carrying a stiptic pencil.to stop the blood letting from the little nick that happen. Water oaks and small live oaks are the worst.

Sliced up the back of my hand pretty good-right over a big vein. It wouldn't stop bleeding, so I filled the cut with super glue and covered it with duct tape as a butterfly. Worked like a charm!

Anyone that can stand working in a bit bulkier gloves when trimming a lot might be interested in the Hexarmor Gloves. Level Five cut protection takes a glancing Silky strike from a total shredding saw through down to more of a puncture. (Learned about those from Tuttle and tested a pair.)
