what a noise ! don't do that in the early morning, you'll probably wake up all the neighbours.

Buy yourself a true MS200T and (ab)use it for a couple off years and still hold on to your hearing capacities ;-)

nice vid though :-)

safety chain safety chain safety chain. haha. that all i got to say about that. im going to make a second video with a proper bar and chain set up and you will see just how much faster the saw gains cutting speed. because its hard wood the camelback links in between the cutters, slow down the chain and make it a skip pattern rather then full comp. the camel backs on safety chains also limit the amount of pressure you can apply to the saw. when you saw me making the up cut, the camel back link were preventing me from putting the necessary amount of pressure to make that cut. new video on its way soon. i trying to she off the saws potential here. before and after muffler mod and safety chain.

That chain is designed to "reduce kickback". It's technically not a "safety chain", it's reduced kickback chain.
My climbing saw is the only saw I run with "reduced kickback" chain on it.
The raised tie straps (bumpers) help reduce kickback. They add weight to the loop, and slow down performance by approx. 5%.
I'll take the added security while aloft anyday. It's gonna vary from climber to climber.

NOTE: It is a full comp chain on your Echo 330, only with raised tie straps. The sequence is "cutter, tie strap, cutter, tie strap" throughout the loop.
A skip chain sequence has "cutter, tie strap, tie strap, cutter" throughout the loop. (A cutter followed by 2 tie straps), reducing the # of cutters to help keep chain speed up. Rotational kickback is greatly increased with skip chain.

You know there is a new chisel chain that cuts 20% faster then the semi chisel chain.
The cutter looks like a small 3/8LP RS chain.
