MS 360 issues

I am brand new to the forum, just read a few posts on here at random while I was surfin around and happened upon this place. I have to say right off the bat it seems that there is a whole lot of good, practical knowledge to be found here. I hope you guys can help me out. I got a MS 360 not too long ago for free. It wasn't idling well and hadn't been started in a few years. With a plug for the leaking compression release a new sparkie, air filter, and carb adjustment, it's runnin pretty decent now. It sounds a little rattly and doesn't zip right up to speed, but I figure it was runnin hot with the leaky comp release and might've damaged the jug or fried the piston and ring(s)? forgot how many now.... that and I can't manage to find a full wrap handle for it anywheres. I made up a set up stihl dawgs for it so that they fit right, not all offset like they do if you bolt'em up stock. also, wondering if it's worth it if i can, don't know if one's available, to get an oversize bore piston and jug if the old one is fried. i want to run a 28" bar that i've got on it, but i don't think it'd even push full skip chain(3/8 pitch, .063 gauge) in its current condition. anyone....HELP???!!! please.....
