Mom's passing

surveyor

Been here much more than a while
Location
NC
Mom passed from this old world to eternity in God's tender care this past Sunday, she was 93. Here she is at age 90, and here I am with my brother and sister. She had a big part in The Bulldog Bone, making a loan that enabled me to start me down the path that led to its creation and offering encouragement and prayers. I had built my father's casket in 2006, and now one for her. She was there for our first breaths and we were all there for her last.

Gordon, my condolences. Treebuzz is truly where arborists tie in, and it's about more than our work. If there is anything left unsaid about your mom, we all would hear it. I wish you the best of what her death can provide - all that is good, all that endures beyond the coffin that you honored her to build with your own hands. I have full respect for your experience.

So sorry for your Mom's passing.
The casket is an excellent tribute.
It made me reconsider the option of cremation, or a "green burial".
I have a family plot in NH waiting for me.

My son's carried the casket to the grave site. Here is Dean (from my avatar) initiating the actual burial at my sisters request. The funeral director said this was his first "homebuilt" casket. First Peter chapter 1
