Minnesota Maple Drop

Alright buzzers,

Here is a video of a silver maple removal we did two weeks ago. After thinking about the wide and squat nature of the tree, I decided to see how much could be done without climbing. So with two rigging ropes and a power pruner, here is the result.

Feel free to critique away! I am aware of the lack of head gear on the groundies and the absence of chaps on myself while cutting the stem.

Yes indeed! Set the two rigging ropes and had at it.

For not climbing the tree at all...Not bad. You must have bid high to experiment on that job.

Great removal, something very refreshing about the whole thing, I enjoy setting rigging lines from the ground whenever i can.

The chipper is still going strong John! Chipped all day yesterday without a hiccup. I still haven't had it painted or serviced yet. Hopefully we will get that done between now and summer. I will send you a pic if I get it painted.
