I just purchased this the other days and already I have so many ideas as to how to use it. I use the VT prusik know with a micro-pulley, but I will be replacing the micro pulley with the mini traxion. I feel this will come in very handy in limb walking. When using the VT and micro-pulley there is that 6-8" difference when you pull on it and when you let it go. So no just ingage the ascender on it and no more slipping that 6-8". Just keep pulling and you don't have to worry about the jerk if you let go.
Great for bringing heavier items into the tree exspecially to heights above 100'. Now you can just rest inbetween pulls and not through out your shoulder are worry about wet ropes slipping out of your hand.
But there are down sides to it as well. If used as a pulley is has a breaking strength of 20 kN. The many other applications it has is from 2-5 kN. So it has a great limitation as to what you can do with it, but I believe it was worth the $70.
