Mini skids?

I've had two toro dingo wheeled machines, liked both, much easier on turf than tracked machines. Now i use a gehl al 20,problem is they stopped making it.Check out the new ditch witch, I dont know the name of the machine but it is a stand on articulate, super cool and fast,6 mph, reasonably priced too, about 15k

ive got a vermeer w/ trax. I love it.

Never flipped it (a friend w/ tires has tipped his 3-4 times). only gotten it stuck once in some mud that was probably 8" deep and ive had it in some nasty stff besides that. Ive never had a flat tire.

It can tear up the turf if your not careful or its really wet.

Ive not used a tire machine either.

I made wheel adapters for my dingo and fitted it with duals, super stable. Foam filled the tires, no more flats.machine road like a lumber wagon,(literally) and way to slow ,love my gehl sit down machine.

Yeah Corn dog I totally agree its really easy to tear stuff up.I love our machine but think We might kill each other with it-Accidently.Its a Boxer 526 with tracks also.I had my friend Big E on our job yesterday and we decided to see what the mini really had.Big E's about 325+ im 195 and little Hairball is 145-we all got on the back to counter balance, I estimate a thousand pound stump maybe more.we pick it up carried it across the yard and loaded it 5 feet onto our dump trailer.I slung big E once to the ground but he got back on(touchy controls)Man I wish I had a picture!

I've got tires on a Thomas. No problems at all with tearing up lawns. I also think it's all in the operator. I've only flipped mine once, doing a small lot clearing driving on a hillside with the load to high. The only time I wish I had tracks is when doing work like that, in the woods.

Good luck with your choice.

we are using a bobcat mini rightnow with tracks seems good but when spring hits mats!!!!!!!. As said before check out as many as you can before buying we almost did a duhhhhhhhhhhh moment and went back to rentals for now. Bobcat seems to be they way we ar going or Toro.

We have the Vermeer with wheels. Never flipped it or gotten a flat. We put a TerraPower grapple on it. It can tear up the lawn also, depends on the operator.

Top,

The thing w/ bobcat is you have to buy bobcat specific attachments. They are not universal so you cant price shop as well.

Also, a ride on unit is way better. Ive seen walk behinds and they are a lot slower and cant pick up as much weight.

I have used minis but decided to go with Bobcat 463 and have never looked back. you got to love sitting down.
I use tire which is better on lawns but get it on wet clay and you go no were.
ps tire a cheaper to replace.

The new Zahn by Ditch Witch is really interesting, but my experience with Articulating Machines tells me she might be real tippy in our line of biz.

http://www.ditchwitch.com/zahn.asp

The smallest Sit down articuling machines will now only be sold by Boxer. Multi one and multi trak are history as now Boxer has private labeling rights to them in North America.
Might be some deals around on those blue ones.

Kanga is also getting closed out in N.A. I might have some good deals coming upon those
