mini grapple \"down by the river\"

4 dead am. elm "down by the river" The only access was a narrow steep path (partially washed out by recent rain) 300+ feet from the chipper!

Re: mini grapple \"down by the river\"

I was amazed how easily these little machines drag stuff around (in this case up the steep bank)

The branch mngr. grapple works like a thing of beauty, when feeding brush & logs into the chipper!

Even these short logs tracked right up the hill. I'm completely amazed by these little machines! The more I run them, the more I like them!

Re: mini grapple \"down by the river\"

You are making me jealous!

Nice work. I bet the tracks made a big difference on that job.

Re: mini grapple \"down by the river\"

Actually hill are sweet, you can carry more weight up hill!

I always try to set up the truck so I load it up hill.

Tracks are definately the go for that terrain.

Re: mini grapple \"down by the river\"

My dingo salesman brought us a mini grapple to try out, last week. It is awesome. The only issue i had was logs slipping on the backer plate when i was trying to load them into the truck. Has anyone added any type of knobs or brackets to keep the logs from slipping. Usually i am loading logs 8-10'.

Re: mini grapple \"down by the river\"

Thats what I said, you can't see them, I thought the bollard is much cooler then the dogs -- Frans You can see the dogs thursday at TCI

Re: mini grapple \"down by the river\"

The bollard is not as important to me as the log dogs are. We are always loading wood into the back of the truck butt end first, 8-10 feet long. I should be able to add some sort of log dogs without much trouble.
