Mini ex on 1 ton flatbed dually towing 16’ dump trailer as first big setup opinions???

I’ve considered that and would definitely buy a smaller one if the opportunity arose. With the majority of my jobs just being pruning, I kind of like the idea of a lighter setup that I can store at my house without infringing on residential zoning code (nothing over a 1 ton can be stored at a residence).
I also like the idea of being able to haul the material to the loading site when possible. I like the compact tractor idea with a grapple attachment too.

Here is your best bet. Bought this truck for $2900. Best truck ever mechanically. V10 Ford. I used it for four years and just sold it for $4000 a couple weeks ago.

Whatever way you decide to go try to rent components of that set up and double check that your choices will work the way you believe they will before you buy.

Previous to you mentioning zoning laws I was going to point out how easy it is to overdo load limits on trucks doing tree work. But, what can you do.

Good advice. Thank you

Probably not something you can park in your driveway if there are restrictions over a 1 ton...but did you see this:
