Just finished this fold up rack on the back of my ol 60' Altec material handler. Seems to handle the 1 Ton Thomas fine + we can pull a small trailer for small brush jobs.

Looking for a picture of a custom built Dump trailer with a custom platform on the front for the mini and attachments. Anybody? Seen a pic in the Tree and Land rag a while back think it was in Ohio somewhere.

tnttree did consider using a lift gate. You wouldn't need ramps, as you could lower it to the ground. You already have the hydraulics there. Then you could fold it up when backing into tight spaces!!!

You Know that would have been two damn easy. I think one of my guys suggested that too. I didn't think you could bounce down the road with a Ton of cargo on it. I have always seen them folded up during transit. Good Idea should have checked it out. /forum/images/graemlins/icon315.gif

It does fold up manually, no pictures of that yet

How much do those mini carriers run? Sometimes I have trouble with big logs and the bobcat. How does that do with large logs?

I think the machine's Big or little should be termed as skid-loaders or forwarding machines. I meant for the "minicarriers" in this thread to address unique transport ideas short of using a trailer.
The Bucket rack is custom built in my shop, I don't know if anybody else has done it also.
The various minis on the market run from 10 to over 20K, I'm pretty happy with the performance of the lower cost models. Click on my branch manager grapple site (on the right) if you want to talk some hard numbers
