Started the day working with a crew clearing the road in Epsom, NH, where a civilian was killed the day before in the storm.
(Brief details on the storm: The tornado was an EF2 tornado in two or three towns, the NWS said. That means it had winds of 111 to 135 mph and was capable of causing significant damage.)
Received a call at noon that there was a tree burning in the wires down near Boston (Winchester/Woburn area). Grabbed a bucket crew and met our crane operator at the site. Power company didn't get there until after 6 p.m. so I pulled the plug and we rescheduled the removal for the morning.
The bucket crew had worked 18 hours the day before and we would have been working on the tree until about 10 p.m.
The tree had obviously been burning for a few years. I'll post details and more pictures tomorrow.
See some of you in St. Louis next week!
