Maxi jacket ..... How do you use it?

Just picked some up to coat my beeline Eye and eyes that I spliced up.

My question is, can and/or should I dilute it with water. it looks a bit thick? Also how many coats work best?

Shake it, dip it, dab it, dry it.

I normally dip my eye n eyes once, or twice. I havent seen much of a difference in durability between them. No dilute, you want it to be thick and stick to the rope. I always allow the eye to drip off as much as possible back into the jar, if its real excessive i even dab it on the side of the jar to help get the excess off. Make sure to blow through the eye to make sure its open. Then just let it dry for 24 hours. I like to re-dip after a couple weeks, after a thourough inspection. Depending on wear.

I use liquid electrical tape sourced from my local Home Depot. I apply it with included brush. Stuff works great.

I dip it, then slide the eye onto a pipe. Back in the day I would slide them onto a sharpie marker

I like the shape of having them dry on a pipe. It holds them open. So slip it on a sharpie and give er a shot!

Oh- at least 2 coats. 3 is best.
