While this tree wasn't big, it posed its own challenges. 14" cottonwood in really bad shape. No good hinge wood due to degradation. Used the portawrap with a tensioned guy wire line and then another line in the masdam to pull to the side. One person worked the porty, letting line out as the person at the masdam pulled. You'll notice an orange plow marker stuck in the ground. I keep a couple on the truck and use them for my height estimations and then as my target to aim at. I estimated the height of where the ropes were tied to the tree on this one rather than whole tree height. This was another example of 30 minutes of setup for 3 seconds of cutting. I do a lot of work in the woods and its always fun to solve the puzzle using what the neighboring trees provide for options.
