@TimberJack; Is this a joke? To the best of my knowledge SherrillStuff did a consolidation of splicing efforts by closing up Treestuff's splicing operation and laying off the splicer's there, except for maybe a few who were willing to move to North Carolina. I have heard nothing about outsourcing splicing duties to China. Maybe I'm a big, fat fish, and you just hooked me with this story.

It might hurt your credibility a little bit if this is a joke, and you didn't come right out and say so in your post. Just my thoughts on this.

Ya I gotta call bs on this one. We all know Sherrillstuff has had some major problems with order fulfillment the last few months, but there really is no business model where someone in China can get a hold of a hank of rope shipped by hank or spool from America, custom splice it, then ship it back for less than just paying someone to do it here. If so every order would take 6 weeks and the box would have Hong Kong Post stamped all over it.
I understand feeling bitter about bad customer service, but wacky accusations? Besides we all know the splicing is really being done by chimpanzees chained up and half starved in the Cincinnati zoo so they don't get beaten by their Sherrillstuff overlords.

The point of a merger is to eliminate redundancy and leverage one companies resources for the other. Sherrill has a splicing operation in house. We saw that on the tour. That an order placed through TS has a splice with it makes sense to fulfill it through ST. Frankly, it makes little difference at this point if they are delivering as advertised. That's the big issue with either of them. Poor customer service in terms of delivering as stated and poor handling of this afterwards.

They'll just keep digging themselves a deeper hole if they don't heed the grumblings.

This is a completely false statement. 100% of TreeStuff and Sherrill splicing is done by us in the United States of America by our own employees.

Please don't knowingly propagate complete and total bullshit. You know that's not true, why take a pot shot at men and women trying to earn a living?
