Lower Boom Recall XT60?

Does anyone know about the lower boom recall on the XT60 bucket trucks? I just found out about it in a round about sort of way. Still don't have all of the info.

No, I never called Terex when I purchased the truck used to tell them that I was the new owner. I just left them a message.

Not a recall, it's an inspection advisory. Lower boom heel pin boss welds were cracking on some machines built between 05 and 2013 as far as I can remember. Definitely get a hold of terex for the service bulletin. Guy I work for had one replaced before it came across the border. It's the only one I have first hand experience with.

ontheropes, my terex bucket leveling ratchets like crazy, instead of being smooth, even though it is fully lubed. Does that ever happen to your units? FEVA says they are going to install grease fittings on the axle holding the bucket so it can be lubed better instead of using spray grease on the axle.

Sorry for derail. Yes, get your unit checked, it will probably be repaired for free

Terex will fix or replace if you bring it in you will have better luck if you are south of border in our area it's hard to get good service. I have done 2 one was repaired other they installed a new lower boom, only bad part of that was the down time

It was 200+ miles to service here. Terex approved a local certified welder to do the repair and is reimbursing me. They send you the parts and diagram/specs. Was like a 350 welding bill.
