I learned to climb in blue jeans, because that used to be the extent of my pants collection, so it doesn't take much to make me comfy in the saddle. I'll rec climb in fitted style pants with a gusset or some stretch. I have been impressed by the difference with many other things that have a range of quality levels, so I am keen to try some of these pants mentioned here.

Hard to beat some of the arb pants already out, I think. Most of the colors and obnoxious designs I can do without, though. Those baggy pants would be annoying and dangerous in a lot of tree care situations, but probably really comfortable in a few others. I may be interested in those ninja turtle shoes they're wearing though.
The thought of buying these ninja shoes to try them out for climbing is too tempting. I am going to see if I can get them in a size close to US13. Time for more impulsive gear decisions.

A side note: Everyone wishes that they were tall until they find out how poorly clothing is tailored to fit tall people :(

Cheers!

There is a lot of wisdom to ‘styles’ like this.

My pops tried to drill it into my skull to wear oversized work pants, stagged with braces. Lessons were stagged to avoid hanging up on brush, oversized for freedom of movement, spendies to allow torsional movement.
The belt is only for hanging tools, also worn loose.

Now I wouldn’t say it’s the safest out there with modern saw protection, but when it’s all you got little snags can give one adaptive warning.

He also would chew my ass if I wore leather gloves, and would always advise white ox cotton. The logic was you can feel getting poked and can pull your hand out of the glove when working with cable. Leather you can’t feel the poke until there is enough pressure to penetrate the leather which means it’s going through your hand.

Lots of nuance and clothing/protection is an extension of our environmental awareness yet it’s a learned skill to read.
