I'm tired of the body thrust drt crap, I've been playing with SRT, I need a rope walk system. I have foot ascenders, rope runner, rope wrench, hitch hiker, I see how smooth the kneee ascender looks, and I don't know if I'm up for building one, hoping someone has something they've built from parts, or n extra ne they can part with for a deal, I hope.Let me know what you may have.

Amsteel seems over the top and it's very picky, not the cheapest ans just doesn't play nice with debris in general, twin carrier tennex or something of the like comes to mind

one I made

I have an original Hass in like new condition. I untied the slip knot to shorten it up when I was first wanting to get into SRT but was mostly lazily avoiding it. Then I signed up for 'Oceans' and Jarads SRT class and just went onto the Saka at that point.

I can text you a picture if you want it - cost of shipping.

Is there anything else you're looking for at this time ??

I have a ct foot ascender up for grabs. The bottom attachment for the arch strap broke today. The ascender is still in great condition. It's up for grabs if anybody want's to slide me a few bucks for it.

What's the differecent between the Hass and Saka? By the way, just starting to get the feel for the runner, I think I'm gonna love it, thanks again.

Original has works well. Ill they to take a pic of how I set it up when I use mine cuz it was frustrating until I saw how others did it and figured it out
Please do. Merle is hooking me up with his that he's not using, he's a great man. Very generous. I did see the video on setting a new one up ,I guess it's their original post on how to set it up. Looked pretty straight forward.

What makes the SAKA better than the HAAS Velox?

That conversation can get a little sticky around here

Personal opinion: The HAAS took the idea of a knee ascender and made great improvements on it while getting rid of some of the challenges. Adding a stiff section of material above the foot to help with tending, among other benefits. The SAKA came along later and improved the knee ascender idea even further by putting additional thought into the human/mechanical interaction adding stability and ease of use and a shorter/stronger tending cord. There are new innovations coming out on the next version of the SAKA as I type.

Many climbers on here use the HAAS and have no interest in changing, many also use the SAKA and love it too.

I started with a SAKA so I have not found an incentive to switch to a HAAS. either one will get you up a tree without hip thrusting.

@Raven27 Would you like to try my HAAS? I have a regular size, original HAAS that is about 7-8 months old. Has been working great. I've never used a SAKA, but I've heard some incredible reviews. Maybe a test run on the HAAS and a test run on the SAKA would help making a purchase decision?
