Well, we mobilized our defenses and sent them over to where they said we needed to go to fix things fast like they said would happen on a budget they promised it would cost and we're suppossedly getting the results they claimed would follow. That's something isn't it?

Change of leadership rapido. That's number one in any corporate structure where failures far exceed the victories.

London has the most sophisticated protection net anywhere - and it's run efficiently unlike our own "high visability" projects that remain unfunded or under repeat agency leadership changes (how many efforts to combine interagency intel sharing so far in the last three years?)

We're debating erasing Social Security while the Taliban have won back control of two provinces and fourteen cities in Afghanistan. Terri Shaivo's death was interrupted by Congress AND the president for eight days while the Londoner participants were praying for preparation readying for the deed. Good call and great agenda. Please read what was told Congress yesterday by two vastly differing opinions...one from the heads of the combined intelligence services, and the other from Rumsfeld, Bush's main man. It's time we boot these incompetents out of office and roll-up our collective sleaves and recall the Joint Chiefs who were deplaced and have combat experience but were let go because they didn't swear alliance with a political party line. It's time we reward FBI agents who whistleblew the screw-ups from within the agency instead of condemn them as "traitors". It's time we forget about finding out what we read in the libraries and fund port security. If the White House can threaten national security by routing a clandestine agent specialist in Islamic matters in order to "punish" her husband from revealing embarrasing lies propagated by the White House - some arrests should be made pronto.

Are we interested in security or just the word "security" as it comes form the same mouths that were completely wrong about Iraq, uranium cake, Jessica Lynch, and Terri Shaivo (just to name a few).

"Trust us, we know what we're talking about". "Major combat operations are over".

And yes, we should...do something. Quickly.
 
fact is if you look back in history just about every war there was had something to do with religion somewhere along the line
perhaps we should just bin religion altogether?
at the end of the day its just a straw for week minded individuals to grasp onto.
the rest grasp onto drink and drugs or something else to help them cope with life
 
Rather than pity the situation and seeth in anger or fear, I choose activism to mobilize to bring down the president and his incompetent cadre. So have my friends. It's a responsibility we have as citizens first, humans next.

Religion doesn't have to be sanctioned and approved by a Rectory or a council, we've weakened ourselves to not trust our souls unless someone else appoints our thoughts and leads us into - or away from damnation. The weakest minds fall prey, the fear of hell is not unlike the fear of terror.

Get a grip and realize we're a bit more intelligent than that. Problems we can solve, pity those who believe only others can do that for us.

To each his own diety. Here however we have an evangelical mandate promoted by a new government. One that claims to rever life but show's it's quite against it. Not unlike the very enemy we're creating.

Time spent being ignorant or decidely apathetic is time spent letting them gain more strength.

Powerfully treasonistic but someone has to start somewhere. Banning books and changing science itself has taken it too far. Arrest and jail without due process or voting abilities without paper evidence of choices made our system corruptable and corrupted. Don't complain in a year from either bombs suprizing citizens or rights taken away in their name if you think just being onward with your own life is survivable to your conscience.

Words of retribution are very understandable when loved ones get killed, it's what takes a war into more war beyond any original cause, and we have more than one of those in our collective memories.

But that's just my opinion, one of a simple tree man.
 
If you want to piss and moan on how bad this Country is, and it seems you have all the answers, than why don't you move and post your bitches about how bad it is in your new country. I'm growing tired of you hippies bitch, bitch, bitch.

I think he just wants to keep his mind - and his country as simple as he can understand things. Good Jerry Springer possibilities and a potential WalMart associate!

Even his "fearless leader" accepted in Scotland the notion of man-made climate change. Maybe that'll elevate him a notch or not.

This thread really bothered me and I debated about even giving some of the things legitimacy by even responding to them. But I will simply say that if anyone trys to weed out or harm muslims in my community (neighbors, friends customers, fellow arborists), or brings any of that Nazi crap to my doorstep. I will not hesitate to take my 066 to their balls. My grandfather faught the nazis in europe and I will fight them here.

how about driving to your work in your car and BANG, or feeding the chipper, starting with your leg, or tipping over with a crane. I think I have mentioned more casualty's than made by OBL in the States per year, even on that horrific 9/11 year.
 
Those deaths aren't generally used as political fodder though.

It takes a keen eye and a sharp wit to see thru the crap coming down from the Incompetents. The new "global watch against violent extremism" replacing the failing "War against Terror" illustrates the rhetoric and words designed to influence us.

We're too busy being stupid to know any better, a slogan can steer is anyway they want it to.
