So it’s quite a tail that I’ll likely tell more on later. We bought our first house at the beginning of the year and I’ve been tripping on this Lombardi ever since.

Not a huge tree by any means, but had ample crown weight right at the house and a little back lean.

Thought I’d brag a hair, and never mind the mushroom top arbutus6D55990D-4417-4331-A0E7-870A67699FF1.jpeg94FD5D54-F738-4746-B6EB-579D057CE1DE.jpegB65E746C-5324-4AE7-AD78-0125F0A8D480.jpeg

Nice looking boards, did you use a chainsaw mill?

I've been wanting to play around with more of this myself but too many other things keep coming up. As of right now I do not have a mill, I just freehand my boards with a chainsaw which results in more processing later to use the board

Great to share treework with the family! Nice lumber, too. I carved a chair from a Lombardy and it held up fantastic through the last 2 years until just recently when I ran it over with the trailer

Yes I did. I made one years ago, and only used it a few times, scrapped it and bought one. I had a few hang ups but very happy with the results
