This ol boy has a trick; even without the wench, the ramps and the rope slung in a 2:1 parbuckle around the log to draw it up, would give good advantage. You could move trailer by hand too you'd think. The ramps giving another multiplier to the advantage, and on loading helping trailer not to tip i'd think. i think if outside tire reach was less than 30" you could haul a good size log out a lot of gates. The narrower that spread, the lower you would want to carry load i think.

That ole boy is pretty smart. I like that as much or more than a log arch. Much easier to build.

Think it would work good with a log that wasn't so round, say one with a big crotch on one side that was cut flush with a flat side to it.
