Could a fishing line and weight be added with a remote switch to set lines?

tiny camera to do inspections?

It actually has 2 cameras on board.

1 forward view, 1 downward view.

The imagery shows up live on yout ipod/iphone/ipad while in flight!

IF...it could fly high enough (dont think it can) it really could do aerial inspections.

You also wouldnt need a remote switch to drop a line. You could just tie a line on, fly up & over your target branch, isolate if you need, and fly back down!

I'd like to see it used in the next throwline competition.

I tried to find max height info in the tech spec but couldn't locate any info. I don't see why it shouldn't be able to fly up into the 150-200 ft. range depending of course on battery life.

Imagine the trailing fishing line dragging across leaves, twigs, branches, trunk bark etc., it's not going to have the power to overcome that friction. Need a workhorse version, probably a gasoline engine, a mini Sikorsky Super Stallion so-to-speak.

The aerial inspection looks good to go with the existing setup

Ive been thinking about this for setting lines also but am concerned about wind.Wouldnt take much to blow it into some brush and get hung. I need to come up with a way to choke off a line at say 150' in a big fir, redwood whatever.

Would be fun to try out though, I already bought an Iphone, drones are not yet available, cannt believe they can make them for $300

12 minutes flying time.

range seems to be limited by the altimeter at 19.7'

Though I'm sure one could open discussions with them about a commercial version for our applications.
