One of these changes is the desire/need to toss the tool from the tree.
I think the professionals here are referring to the tool's ability to hold up to an accidental drop. I think that if we are dropping things to the ground on purpose, we won't be in business for too long.
In the same way that if we purchase expensive tools that cannot survive daily professional use (including accidents and mishaps), we won't be in business long.

No.....I throw stuff out of the tree if it will take it. Brush pile is pretty soft.
 
Calculating risk, all day every day. Some things you risk, some things you dont.

And one of the things you wouldn't risk is dropping an expensive pole tool to the ground (or brush pile where it could land on a fulcrum) if you had concerns about the manufacturer warranting the durability of the tool.
I'm not seeing how we're in disagreement?
 
Where are these for sale? Manufacturer does not reply to emails and they are really hard to find. Only WEsspur had them last time I checked and they jacked up the already-high price so i got pist and did not buy from them.
