I'm going to try and attach the pdf price list. It retails for about $10-$18/ foot depending on the length ordered.

Cool stuff, but man is that expensive. I could definitely use the stuff, but not at that price. Hope that it comes down to a few dollars a foot, then I will get some.

I think that it would be a pretty easy thing to MacGuyver. LEDs can be purchased pretty cheap. Solder them together and slip the works into plastic tubing. It might not be quite as bomb proof but it could work. I've read about how people build their own LED headlamps much cheaper than purchased if you're handy. If not, maybe you're handsome

Neither but that is okay I make up for it with my . . .Okay I don't make up for it, but who cares.

I will have to have my father in law take a look at it. He is great for this kind of stuff (Electrical Engineer). Probably has everything he needs in his garage. I will post it if he comes up with a cheap and dirty alternative.
