leg D's on tree motion

I've just started regularly using the leg D rings for my lanyard. Who else here does this?

I'm concerned that doing this might be more abusive to the bridge and leg straps. anyone who uses these D's regularly notice excessive wear?

thanks for any advice

Liam

I have not noticed any extra wear. That's what they are there for;)

Using a 2 in 1 lanyard with the lower and upper d's is awesome!

Especially with removals using a TIP in a nearby tree, no more awkward lanyard/bridge crossover.

My only concern came from looking at some situations the point the bridge goes through the D seems to be put in more acute angles than before. Maybe I'm just looking more closely due to recent switch.

Cheers

Hmmm, interesting...NO WAY...just jam that shit....that is the best thing about a TM...the lower D's...get to using them bro....mine are so used the paint is disappearing and that webbing is replaceable....it's 14 bucks each side....

I've found that the lower D's are better if your lanyard is above your waist (thrown around a branch higher than your waist) because then it sits more like a normal harness. I only use the upper D's when my lanyard is waist level to essentially lean against as if you were spiking. If you use your lanyard above your waist on the upper D's,the harness rides up and is uncomfortable. JMHO

With climbing there will be wear and tear on the gear , the great thing about the tree motion is that everything is replaceable .
im full time on my lower d's as its just much more comfortable , even on blocking down i will have my lanyard on the lower d's as it give a little more room for cutting and handling the saw.

I thought it was going to be a bit different spiking up a spruce on the legs; it was great. pruned, removed and cabled today; every position I was in much more comfortable thanks to leg D's. sucks it's taken me this long to break the habit of the hip D's but who's looking back.

Cheers all, great damn harness indeed.

The lower Ds are the bees nees. Thanks to swing dude with his encouraging words I kept at it and finally got my TM dialed in and now I won't climb in anything else. I am so pleased with it I bought another one. I will never look back at the Buckingham saddles ever again. The best part about it is my back feels amazing now due to the weight dispersion between my back and legs.

TBH, I won't look at another saddle..mine fit like a well used baseball glove....the lower D's have always been my favorite part of the saddle....I use them so much....
