Got a spiderjack in the house and have been fumbling around with it on the beams in the room. At first i thought wow what big force she needs to start giving. I got to know it a bit better now and it is a really nice and smooth device. Looking forward in getting it in the tree and in my system.

However has anybody encountered this velcro strap thing that is placed on the left side. I don't really see the added security?

Above all for the left handed goofers out there, it doesn't not work out at all.

the strap holds the unit upright. use it on a william biner,and wrap the velcro around your eye splice. it will gobble rope in this position if its not upright it locks on the rope(and you cant use it left handed, if feel ya man,i wish they made a lefty version i'd buy it.)
