Large Euc. felling

It did go the way they planned. And it doesn't look like they were new to it.

I think wedges would have been a nice back up to the excavator.

Not only is this a heinous crime against arboriculture, it is a glaring example of slack mindedness carried out against a backdrop of utter contempt for common sense.

A monumental disaster of biblical proportions. A travesty of arboricultural justice has been less loose on youtube for the whole world to see.

It is without doubt a sickening display of abject negligence which was unfortunately performed easily within reach of civilian bystanders who were luckily unaware of the farce that was unfolding before their innocent eyes.

If ever anyone needed proof that the human creature is not evolving towards a more enlightened state then this video is the proof they seek. The technique executed in this video is tantamount to arboricultural blasphemy.

Easily one of the most pathetic attempts at treework I've ever seen, fatty in the bucket is guilty of the most heinous crimes against arboriculture. I cant believe the obese fool believes that what he is doing is somehow good or heroic. They wouldn't know real treework if it was staring them in the face.

There are single celled creatures living in the deepest darkest oceans who have more sense than these mogladons.

Grover... marvelous, skillfully crafted diatribe... I'm not quite sure what you're getting at though. It seemed sorta lame but not quite "single celled creatures living in the deepest darkest oceans". Nice piece of writing.

I would've just used a rope to get it going but those guys obviously don't climb and probably don't even own a throwline. The trackhoe was pretty pointless.

They definitely should've had traffic stopped once the backcut was going in, I was pretty shocked when the cars started going by.

I figure they cut'em that way to miss a lot of live trees in the felling path.

They were waaaaay to clean to be real tree guys; did you see that first guys white shirt?

That was one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I mean I've dropped trees before when my friend pushed them over with his 40K lb excavator. I know that the CAT in the video could have pushed that thing over whole... but it would have had to have been closer... more height. WHY would they do that though? I mean that's a LOT of equipment, people, and innocent lives put at risk right there.

Disgusting. However, in his youtube comments he says a rope was installed and "two guys were up the hill pulling". Looked like the tips just missed the far trees; probably the reason for the high felling. His band sucks!

Does anyone else get the feeling that the dude cutting is the boss that got called to deal with a job that his guys were incapable of? And this is him 'showing them how it's done'?

Sheesh.
