Re: Palm trees anyone...

The good thing about this job was that the owner said that he take care of all the frons and all the other trash that came out.. Took me 12hour of hard climbing and two broken chains..

Re: Palm trees anyone...

Nice job. That looks like one hell of a day.

Mark,
If they are anything like what i dealt w/ down i n florida then they have some really nasty thorns.

Not a fun job if you ask me.

Re: Palm trees anyone...

Yes, they are nasty palms but the money makes it well worth it. Especially when there's no clean up involved. The first couple palms were kind of tough since I had to shoot a line up on top of the palm with my big shot and after the first palm you just jump to the next one and just keep going. The palms are much easier when they don't have that long of a skirt. Here's another pic from another palm job, the skirt wasn't as long. You just have to live with the thorns. Hey, out in Florida, what type of palms do you guys work on? Later, from San Diego in the high 80's and loving it! out!! /forum/images/graemlins/coolsun.gif

Re: Palm trees anyone...

Noticed that you had your spurs/gaffs on in the one pic... was that one a removal or is that the only way to tackle those miserable looking things...and I agree they do look a ton better in the after pics.
