Went and did pruning job today for a new coustmer and look what I saw in the tree. This and other knurly spike scars are all over this Maple (Acer platanoides) Even though it's an invasive, it is still someone's tree that they love and want it professionally maintained. Well I tell them I'm a professional but that is still undecided! It is a referral, almost all my work is referral pruning. I'm due to wreck one out any day!View attachment 34225

Sometimes, just for a minute, I think Norways and silvers get a bad rap simply because they survive things that would kill other trees. Then I come to my senses.

Fall_risk, I might take you up on that if it applies. I got a bunch of Poplar trees in the future down in Chadds Ford. All weekend work, and there will eventually be stuff way outside my comfort level.

I thought maybe you had. I don't know about a personal rigging seminar, but I do know that when one teaches, two learn, so under those auspices, I'll teach any day.
