Kask Peltor Ear Muffs - BIG PROBLEM

Chris if you were supplied your earmuffs to go with your KASK i suggest getting the dealer or kask usa to provide you with the right ones.

If you just used the supplied adaptors with your old muffs then it aint really gonna work, you need to mod them to screw on or get the P3A's

If the dealer or kask usa isn't aware of this they should look into getting it right.

These should be THE most secure earmuffs you have ever had on a helmet.

Same thing happens to me. Pretty irritating ain't it? I just keep my visor down all the time.

UPDATE

I just spoke with Kask USA. They are fully aware of the current issues with ear defenders coming loose. They have new brackets that will be available sometime in April, that will help to resolve the issues. These new brackets will be supplied through Kask dealers free of charge to Kask customers.

I will keep everyone updated.

Re: UPDATE

Hey Jim, thanks for taking the time to look into this for us.

I've said it before and I mean it, Mayer Power Equipment is a great bunch of people to do business with.

Re: UPDATE

Mayers Rock! I know that from the other side of the world.

But the problem is the wrong earmuff is still being used!

Kask usa really need to supply the correct ones.

P3A mount directly to the helmet with 2 screws.

You can switch P3E to P3A by swapping the back mounting plate.

Unless of course they already do, but people are just using adaptors to try to re-use their old earmuffs....

Did you guys put the little teflon type washer between the sheild and the head of the bolt like i did.

Been using mine for two weeks now, and I have only tightened them once after reading this thread. they were a little loose.

there was no directions with the visor, but I figured it needed a little "slip disk" between the visor and bolt head so the visor flipping up wouldn't unscrew it.

also on the ear protection topic; My ear muffs have never popped off yet, and I have the metal adapters too.

I should post a picture of my kask helmet. It's X-man style
