That makes a bit of sense, a tree from Polynisia, so would be cold at 60. Trifoliate makes sense and invasive maybe. Leaves and fruit seem pretty good.
 
For sure? Didn't look into it, really. Just a quick google search. USDA said synonymous so I went with it. I'll have to check that out.

No it is native to northern (tropical) Australia through to India, Southeast Asia and Polynesia. Fruit is not used for human consumption though the wood is used for timber.

Common along streams at low/medium altitudes
Trees may reach a height of 100+ feet, but bole seldom exceeds 25'

DBH of 36" and more common, reaching 60" or more.

Medicinal uses in China(I couldnt find any, most were for Javanica bark)

Fruit eaten and used as jellies in Borneo.

Wood used for fencing and the bark extracted for dye in the Solomon Islands.
