Johnny Pro

can I have your nicely restored jeep cj 5 that I saw you driving in a recent video then? You will likely need transportation though, so i'll trade our beat up Toyota Camry for it. That way you still have a car to get around in.

I'm done with this thread BTW. I think I figured out the meaning of it and don't appreciate my time being wasted, as my time is very limited and valuable. Thanks for never responding to my PMs and also generally avoiding the serious questions by just talking in circles and only somewhat answering things after asked multiple times.

I'll check back once to see what you say about the jeep. Then I think i'll be done with this. If I was getting on treebuzz, I should have spent my time on helping people understand some of Xtreme's products better. I didn't have time for this, but I was concerned, so I made time. I'm DONE NOW.
Avoiding what serious questions? Please go spend your time on what you consider important. I am considering whats important for you. Thankyou for having concern for me brother. I love you and I only can hope you forgive me for being simply Me. I am trying my best to bring to the rest. I am giving my all and honestly. What else do you want from me sir?

My head hurts. I just read the last 5 pages of....words....and now my head hurts. Some coherent conversation would be nice as I have ZERO idea what is going on here.

Ok what are your intentions buddy? What does this bring us to conclude? What is science again? A religion in itself building information that is constantly out proven. All those people who believed in science back when the world was flat were super right about that too right? I believe in whats real and what I experience for myself. Experience is the greatest source of knowledge. Keep thinking we are but a spec and im sure we will change the world by doing that. Who is willing to step up to the plate as a spec for all of us specs? Instead of giving up! WE give to another and grow with eachother! We love!

I know lots about things, creative visualization is a sure fire winner to get what you want in life, science is what we know about the physics, elements and things we can cannot see or hear... uv rays? they are there but we cant see them, but we sure do feel them on a long day, does a solar flare rock the boat? yep!

Dear JohnnyPro,

I would like to see you go into great detail on the way in which you configure your harness and ropes, that allows you to safely go inverted and to do flips.

In the early going of my attempts to climb, the possibility of falling right out of my saddle was a bit of a concern for me.

I think that if there was one thing that I would want you to teach the climbing community, including myself, this would be it.

I think it would be really cool if a bunch of climbers learned how to do those things in an absolutely, no kidding, safe manner, and then posted videos in this thread demonstrating what you had just taught them.

Start by teaching the nuts and bolts of your techniques, Johnny! I'm eager to learn. Let your techniques spread and make the whole climbing community more capable!

Then you will be loved, and people will be more open to hearing your other messages.

I guess that is what I'm saying, when I break it down. The biggest gift of love that you can share with us all is to teach us all how to become better climbers. Your video about the twin rope technique was a really great start.

Another person, or really, two, come to my mind when I speak of this.

Reg Coates, and August Hunicke. Those two outstanding gentlemen show just how much they love the community of climbers in this world. They freely, unreservedly, share all of the knowledge that they can through their videos. They do it as well, by trying to speak as plainly and clearly as they can. Reg Coates, especially. He is such a great communicator. If you haven't already, you should watch a bunch of his videos. He would make a great role model for anyone who wants to teach a large number of people.

So, to reiterate, please teach us about your harness setup, and how to safely invert, and do flips.

Thanks in advance for any efforts that you make along these lines.

Tim

P.S. Another great climber and arborist that I can't believe I forgot to mention is Daniel Holliday.

Please ignore the last line in this post. It's a glitch that happens when I try to post using a handheld device, which renders me unable to modify the bottom line in the text box. I was basically trying to say that the reason I climb at all today is because of the comprehensive set of videos that Daniel Holliday produced, cataloged, and leaves up for all to see at his website, climbingarborist.com. His generosity of spirit and love for the community of climbers is the reason I'm on this forum today. He had a big picture plan when he started producing his videos, and as a result, assembled the most complete, easy to navigate set of climbing and rigging videos on the internet, in my opinion.
most responsible for the fact that I climb today. His website,

anyone what to discuss dai nippon fukashima nuclear reactor - all of reactor 4 has melted/evaporated now and reactor 2 is starting to melt - elephant in the room anyone?

Hey, StihlMadd! I'm not quite picking up on what you were trying to say here. I had not heard that news about reactor #2. Can you speak plainly for those of us less knowledgeable (myself included) as to what you mean by "the elephant in the room"? Are you alluding to the end times, maybe? Or something else?

Thanks in advance for any answer you choose to give.

Tim

Shem is a facebook friend and he is something special like all people. He quit his job to follow his love of climbing. He offered me his couch in Savannah Georgia! Just to climb together and learn with eachother. One person who dosnt want to over take from another. Just to love. I dont have the money to travel all over the place. I can change the world by being the change in the world! Thank Shem! Many are a bunch of over consumers. Shem You my friend are showing love. Show on. For when Im gone, It will be up to you to inspire others to love.
Thank you sir. You are welcome any time. I'm on a different level than you though. I do still value material things. I'm don't consider climbing to be a form of "love" I do think we show love and care in everything we do though, or the lack thereof. I would love to climb together and pick up techniques. I do find it hard to believe that other climbers generally seem to be closed minded to Johnny's ideas because they think he is "different". Keep sharing buddy.

Completely useless post. People can ask the same of you Jesus freaks. How in the fuck does accepting a very possibly fictitious (at very least hyperbolized) man as my savior become any more believeable and/or easier to swallow. Think beyond yourselves. Jeeze.

Come on Johnny, stick with us!

X2, Johnny! Teach us your climbing techniques, and go a bit lighter on the metaphysical stuff, would be my recommendation. Allow your techniques time to become pervasive. Then you can try to slip in your other messages.

Honestly, though, getting people closer to nature, and up into trees, by teaching your actual techniques would be about as huge a gift of love as I can imagine.

Don't give up, just start smaller. Rome was not built in a day, as they say.

Plz god, I hope you follow through. Fuck extreme arb supply. You are the most pompous asshole I've ever seen. Another rescue dude. Your time is no more valuable than anyone elses. And just the fact that you seem to think OTHERS feel like your time should be important is baffling. John might be a bit on the whacky end of the spectrum.. But he had the right idea. You, and your boasting.. False idols and all that. I used to really like the idea of your company and products... Now I wouldnt buy an XAS product if I had to lower chogs from the crook of my elbow. ABR for life!

the elephant in the room
what I mean is unless this problem is taken seriously I don't see the point in worrying about anything else because long term worldwide exposure to high levels of of radioactive material in the atmosphere over a extended time period should take care of the over population issue quite radically.
all tepco are doing is pouring water onto a unconfined nuclear reaction which they cannot control bar pouring more water on to it. just check out the ever growing size and number of containment tanks they have to constantly keep building just to hold all the water they are polluting , think the sorcerers apprentice it can't work past a certain point becomes unfeasible and that is dealing with one of the four reactors all leaking straight into the pacific.
at least chernobyl was inland.
thats why the elephant reference it is an unavoidable problem not being addressed in any meaningful way by any government any where world wide which doesn't even begin to solve the fact that the plant equipment is still in a major risk area for earthquake / tsunami at any time.
bets on the place surviving another round with godzilla?

Wow, thanks for that. I had no idea. I guess I need to start buying a newspaper more often.

Which raises the question, where do you get your news from? If you had some favorite online sources that don't require a subscription, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Shem, We communicate regularly on facebook so I feel I can say this without you thinking i'm attacking you. In my humble opinion, I don't think there was any more than one guy really questioning the safety and effency of JP's climbing at all. He is quite different and at first that drew him some grief. The more he communicated clearly and no in riddles the more people got to see where he was coming from and the majority of the ribbing stopped. His views are off the chart compared to mine but when he communicated clearly and with a point, sharing his passion the torches were extinguished and the lynch mob disbanded. I think most were pretty interested in some of his innovations. I will likely never swing from a crane of do a flip out of a tree but I was interested in what he was doing and secretly thought it would be cool to flip out of a tree and burn down like a showman after every climb. I'm usually too tired, don't wanna burn up my stuff and would most likely misjudge my stop and break my ankle. I have contributed very little to this conversation. I left it to those who had something to contribute. Yesterday and today just got a little heated. Religion is just not a subject to debate. Everyone has their beliefs and nobody's gonna change that. People get all bristly when they think their being attacked. JP was open and honest and everyone took him seriously at some level. Either as a climber or as a spiritual person. Too bad he let the haggling get to him. If your views are different, as his are and you are communicating with a bunch of crusty tree dudes, and dudettes, you gotta expect to get tested. He certainly wasn't shunned by the masses. Don't let this taint your view of the buzz. This is a truly wonderful place. I can't say I necessarily have a bunch of friends on here but i'm certain if we weren't separated by distance I could be friends with most guys on here. If nothing else, this is the mecca of learning for me. I just try to soak it all in as the innovators and motivators change lead daily. You never know who the next big name is in our industry but they sure seem to grow from this forum.

I do not feel that I have been close-minded Shem , I genuinely tried to engage Jp on many different levels and subjects,
