Isuzu NRR Chip Truck

Does anyone have experience with a Hino SG3325. I'm looking at one with a small knuckleboom on it. GVW is 33k. It seems like a heavy enough truck for hauling most logs and firewood from a job, but I don't know anything about the engine in it. It does have the 9 speed trans.
My other option at this point is a Freightliner fl80 with a 8.3 cummins. The freightliner has a longer wheel base, but for a small log truck I think my biggest concern is powering over hills with a load or hauling equipment.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

My truck weighs 11k with the chip box; probably about 10.5k with the log box.

Turning radius isn't the only benefit to a cabover. Shorter overall length; better visibility; easy access to the engine compartment; are other pluses. That said, I would buy an Isuzu even if it had a hood.

That coe I just mentioned almost has no access and it has a hood lol. I would have to make a removable tunnel or tilt cab. Damn tight in that compartment.
