I thought of a few uses for it, but like Blinky pointed out, it looks like it would work great with webbing.

It's a biner that I think probably would sell quickly if it were on the shelves of a local tree gear supply store.

Hopefully not like the J-lock which LOOKS really useful but I can never find anything useful to do with it. I've got a captive eye biner that I have no idea what to do with either.
 
That looks like a useful biner for webbing strength retention, I always wonder about that tight pinching little girth hitch's effect on sling strength. Had one break once but that was definitely due to gross overloading and a different story altogether.

Hey Raven it was an old Douglas-fir that had to come down for a new roadway. Here's a youtube video of it. Just had to chunk it down thankfully.
