ISA Certification Test - Advice/Tips (Please)

You probably qualify to have someone with their CA already to sit with you to help with questions and wording. I got an email once inquiring if I could help them with a similiar situation. Contact ISA directly

I emailed ISA this morning to find out how I might proceed from here. I believe test #4 means I have to pay full-fare again? :(

I want this bad and I know my stuff, so I will do what I need to do.

I’m dyslexic as shit. While I passed with flying colors, it maybe the format of the test. How are you taking the test? Writen or computer lab? I found that there are 4 choices, 2 are obviously wrong, and the remaining two it comes down to wording.
If your scoring high on all the self tests and other practice tests there is something more going on, likely the format or test anxiety. I found the study guide difficult but one thing that helped me stay on focus was the audio cds, reading the book along.
Feel free to ask anytime if I can offer any suggestions.
While the computer test helped me my anxiety went through the roof. They were testing others for who knows what, highly secure tests with rental scans, finger prints, palm vein prints etc.. weird CIA shit..
Avoid looking for the right answer, but cross off the wrong ones. Many times this wil by default leave you with the correct. Double check to see if it makes sense and move on.

It really sucks being dyslexic. The joke in my family is that they are waiting for me to say "Fuddruckers" wrong. LOL!

I am taking the test via computer. I actually already go through and find the wrong answers so that I only have two choices left. This doesn't appear to be working though.

I know I have anxiety, but I think being dyslexic is not helping me either.

I have been listening to the audio CDs for 3 months straight. I drive for a lot of my current job, so the book plays at a minimum 4 hours a day. Been studying the guide since July of last year.

I will start studying again this coming week and see where it takes me.

Sadly, I may have just lost out on a major job offer because I did not pass..... Oh well.

Contact the Certification Department at ISA International. Tell them that you're dyslexic and require an accommodation in order to sit for the exam. They can and will accommodate you, but you have to let them know your circumstances.

Chris, if you're in Florida, several Certified Arborist prep courses are held in different parts of the state throughout the year. You might want to look into those.
