I know VERY little about any of this, just how to trim and remove trees. Saw this article Sunday night and thought it sounded off???

They didn't say what chamical is being used for EAB. Microinjections into the base of trees is being used here with some success against European elm scale on American elms. The chemical can be imidocloprid or orthene. The same thing was tried for ash psyllid on Manchurian and black ash here but most of them died anyway - too little too late.
I'm not sure if this Arborjet technology is different from that.

Yes, very real.
The article was pretty accurate. Although I'm pretty sure TreeAge (the chemical referenced in the article) has been approved by the EPA for use in all states.
