Excellent point, I will use that next time. I started this climb with my RW then removed it for the traverse and V-rig set up. I should have brought the oval and switched it out at the same time. I have not been using it as it gets too cramped when I use it with the RW and HC pulley. Did not really liked the ovals too much but now I have a new perspective.

Hey yoyoman,

I use ovals in a number of applications with pulleys. prusiks etc. If you use a rubber or silicon stopper fed tightly onto the biner after the e2e & HC then rotate the biner 180 deg it reduces the risk significantly of displacement down the spine of the spine side eye when tending from the HC or getting slack in the system. That is as long as the eye is smaller then the stopper.
