Indoor Oak Trunk for a Play Structure Question

Location
Michigan
I'm looking to place a cut 18" oak tree trunk about 10'-12' tall total into a play/climbing structure. At the top will be a tree house. The trunk and branches will extend only up to about the tree house floor structure. I'm not sure if the tree trunk will be used as a structural element or not. My question is in how to treat the tree to ensure maximum life/durability in our indoor situation. Any ideas? I know creosote is a darn good preservative having used it quite a bit in the tropics when we sunk fresh cut poles in concrete and dirt. The trunk will not be dry/cured. Thanks for any suggestions and ideas in advance - :)

NO creosote...wayyyyy too toxic!

What species of oak?

Are you considering sinking the trunk into soil like a fence post?

You might be better off making a footing plate and bolting the trunk to the footing like a light pole.

Lots of ideas
