Incredible Sequoia take down Italy!(?)

This guy pulls out a bag and half of spar removal tricks, several that never occurred to me, of I'm curious to hear what all of you think.

He did an excellent job.

Got a little too close to his bull line with that big Stihl at the end, but a good groundie was on it right away, saving a good twenty or so feet of it!

I'll bet it took him 3 plus days to accomplish though!

but why? what a shame. Not just losing such a great tree, (assuming it wasn't extremely hazardous), but the wood apparently going to waste. Then again, maybe there were some shingles made of it, or something else other than firewood.

Still, some interesting tricks in there, and if someone was paying enough, I guess I would remove it too.

Was that a homemade GRCS? These guys are true professionals no matter what a nice tree it may have been.

I think that was the Kong rigging device.

That strap on that lowering device looked kinda small like a 2" must be very strong cause that was some big blocks he was knockin down...

Yup, same here, I remember this video from awhile ago as well. Seems to me that there was reason for removing it at the time too.
