i'm living the buzz

i\'m living the buzz

People who soar are those who refuse to sit back, sigh and wish things would change. They neither complain or, passively dream of some distant ship coming in. They visualize in their minds that they are not quitters; they will not allow life's circumstances to push them down and hold them under.

Re: i\'m living the buzz

Now you have hurt my feelings Josh, but I will get over it (laugh). Have a lovely Aloha Xmas with your family and then you can start the New Year fresh. I will look foward to your new posts. I am over in Scotland with my in-laws and its mighty cold but still very nice. Paul.

This thread should really attract the young, sensitive-type climbers I've been seeing out there lately.

What about attracting the 30 something salesman type rec climber you've been seeing out there (in your dreams)?

And I'll be your foot prints across the sand, Stephan.

I always suspected you were carrying my drunk azz home all those times, but just really wanted to believe that I was sober enough to walk by myself.

Josh,

Seriously. Get the hell out of here. For your time away from the buzz to have any gravity, you're gonna have to actually take time away from the buzz. Like 2 or 3 weeks. That's like forever to a kid like you. You'll be a different person when you come back, with a new fiance, and a new deer stand for palm trees.

I'll be waiting. Very patiently.

Swingdude,
Were you eating a turkey leg while reading the post or is that a code word for a body part the moderators would not allow in a post?

Josh,
You need to be objective and step out of you shoes. Take a good look at yourself then list all of your good and bad qualities, work on developing your good qualities and replace your bad ones with those. Keep that list with you and refer to it regularly so you can see your improvement. I bet you will be surprised how well you will do.
Enter conversations with an open mind, listen and learn from others. There are a lot of people on this site that not only have a good deal of tree related knowledge but are all around good people.
I believe the new year will bring you the opportunity for tremendous personal growth in many ways. Congrats on the new fiance and looking forward to hearing from the new you in the new year!

That is cool you are spending the holidays with family. Mine are in Iceland, I have mistaken Scotlands countryside on occasion for Iceland in a few movies and I know how beautiful Iceland is in person so you must really be seeing some fantastic country. Enjoy and give my best to all with you, safe home.
