I figured the best place to put this was the crane forum because we used our mini crane for it.
This was an old bulldozer when my grandpa bought it in 1957, it made 2 skids of logs out of the bush before a track pin broke. They never got around to fixing it so it has sat there for the last 53 years.

In the 8th 9th and 10th photos you can see what I mean about the roots, there was a 15' tall balsam fir growing in th center of this machine, and you can see in the 11th pic that the roots are actually higher than the tracks.
