I need a new hardhat

I'm looking for a new hardhat. I want one with a removeable/replaceable forehead/sweat band thingy, ratchet style adjustment, vents would be good, chin strap would be a BIG plus. I'm a groundie and very rarely go up in the bucket anymore(I know in a bucket you "need" a chinstrap.
What are you guys using? looking for yellow or orange(prefer yellow if possible) TIA.

I wear Kask helmets.

Last summer I bought three of these do rags:

Google them, you can find them on sale.

The fabric does work and kept my head cooler.

The best part of the Halo is the 'gutter' that is in the headband on the forehead. It's a ridge that diverts dripping sweat...and it WORKS. That item alone makes it worth the cost and separates Halo from the rest of the synthetic do-rags

Love my kasks, got the older one and the newer version and they are well made and low profile the visors really work and are tough. I have the smoke visor for sunny days 9 most days here ) and the clear for overcast or late evening work. Oh yeah and the visors come coated on the inside with some sticky film that I had to remove, it was a PITA to clean with that damn film on.

That's my 'I mean business' look!

I know that my head is cooler when I wear the Halo!

Can you put husky earmuffs on the kask?

More than likely. check the Kask website to see if they have pics or specifications. If not, drop them an email with a pic of what you have. YOu might be able to find an online pic too.

I have 3 Kasks. 2 are a bit older than the other. I like the newer Kask with the Up & Down feature. The head band seems to fit down low on my head, thus when I tighten it just snug, it holds nicely. My only gripe is that the anti fog coating on the inside of the lens can collect dust, but a rinse once a week handles that. I rinse the entire helmet every day in the summer, so it actually isn't a big deal at all. Kask.

I had a kask for a couple of months, I thought it was heavy and bulky. The visor is awesome but just like muffs, it snags stuff. I picked up a petzl alveo and this is by far the best helmet I have ever worn. This helmet is super light and fits well too. No muffs, no visor, just adds weight and bulk.
Not to go off topic but these saftey glasses rock. My local saw shop has had them for years with their logo. I picked up a dozen from TCIA at the expo when I saw they had them too. They are very comfortable to wear with a helmet and don't fog up too often.

Yes I have the Husky muffs that treestuff sells. I had to file about 5 thousandths off the bottom of the the that inserts into the bracket on the Kask so the locking tab fully engages. it has been the best combo for me, although the rotator portion of the Husky cans is loose and no way to adjust so they dont always both stay fully up out of the way all the time.

We use the old style Hard Hats "Bullard" Just a note the guys like the Kask and would like to get them but we on occasion work around conductors and they are not OSHA or ANSI approved for that work. It does not make sense to carry two different hats for them. Also the Pacific helmet is a rescue helmet not a Hard hat and we punctured one with a small White Pine twig that had a protruding stub( right through the side by the muff) the twig weighed less than a pound. Now the other Pacific's sit on the shelf they look real nice there.
