I hate ladders

I hope he recovers quickly. I seldom prune off of a ladder on the outside of a tree-I prefer Polesaw and Polepruner for that and keep my tootsies on terra firma(On the other hand I routinely use aladder for access into a tree. Body thrusting and footlocking are hard on a fat boy.). I do use a ladderwithout being tied in for shearingornamentals and some shrub pruning-Orchard ladders are WONDERFUL for that kind of stuff.
