your excitement is inspiring.
I recently ordered the cds to listen to while I cruise around town. They seem to be driving the info in faster then my attempts at reading the study guide did.
CONGRATS MAN! 11 yeats huh? There be hope for me yet.

TO arbor and RangrDanger.

Listen, They now hav interactive DVD's.

I used them. I went through each one and passed every singlle section. they are SUPER hands on. I dont know about you, but i would guess most tree guys learn hands-on.
I know i do and they made the chalange really easy. (all but the Tree ID. I had to take that section 2 times.)

Any way I had a friend of mine here in atlanta who just took it using the cd's. He was took it the same day I took my id re-take.

He told me that %30 of the terms he did not even recognize.

honestly, I dought he will have passed in that case.

Anyway, check ot the DVD'S. They are REALLY good and make the learning that is some cases could be grueling, fun and easy.

Are you talking about the CD-ROMS you use on your computer. If so, I can second that those are great learning tools!! We bought a few of them last year for Dad's CEU's and I tried a few myself and passed most of them. They are really great!!

Thanks for the tips also Daniel. I just printed off the list of trees I have to know in my area .

the cd-roms are what i was talking about for teh computer.

Read read and read. When I took mine I just read the study guide but I also graduated from college with a degree in a hort related field. So certain terms I knew and others I didn't. If you read plant biology books and really study your ID you should be fine. Get all the 300 standards and read them a few times. Read anything you can get your hands on and then go over it in your head when ever you can. I find reexplaining it to someone else really helps me. Hope this helps.
